SOLILOQUY OF DESDEMONA

Days pass away like smoke
Bones burn like furnace
Lonely bird on hill top, I lie awake
Mingling tears in drink.

I drag myself to reach you
bringing fresh hope daily.
You are my heart
in human form,
my world,
my rose.
How can I fade from you
when you weave me
with threads of love

If enemies taunt, can bear
Adversaries' deal, can hide
Yet, it is you! my warrior!
Where, where that abode of love?
Can you fathom my deep pain?

My soul waits for you
In your words I hope
Ears eager to your voice
Heart seeks your face, my Moore.

You know my heartbeats
Then how you?
Can it be you that I hear?
Arrows, you 'v sent, still in me
My spirit drinks that poison full
It pleases to crush me
surrounds me
like all day long flood
from all sides, it is closing.

If have wings, flee far away
yet, forsaken among the dead,
I am shut IN
What is my strength?
For what should I wait?

Author notes

It is just an imagination of the mind of Desdemona as she heard the heart breaking words of Othello who, but under the influence of Iago's wretchedness to kill her.
